About

Welcome to Game Pitches! This site serves to be a free resource to game designers offering them the web’s largest single collection of game design documents and game pitches. Be they famous or obscure, big or small, successful or not, this site is intended to be a resource for learning how better to design and pitch games in the spirit of sharing information and improving the state of the art through freely available knowledge. Let’s make great games! :)

This site is always willing to accept donations of design documents and game pitches, but ONLY if you have (and can prove you have) the legal rights to redistribute them, or that they have already been released freely and publicly. All of the documents on this site have already been distributed for free online, and this site merely collects them in one place for all to share. This is a hobby project, I make no money from the site and never will, and I’m certainly not out to step on anyone’s toes. My chief concern is to respect copyrights.

If there is any question about the legality of a certain design document or pitch being on this site, it will be promptly removed upon request when adequate proof of ownership is presented.

Also, if there are ever any broken links, please do not hesitate to contact me so I fix it as quickly as I can, as long as it’s still permitted by the rightsholder. Thank you!

This site was developed and is maintained by Jon Jones, an 11-year game industry veteran that runs smArtist, a contract art production agency. Jon also runs a blog called Jon Jones, smArtist where he’s detailed his experiences in the management, production and the business of art outsourcing as well as best practices, tools, and styles of thought that have helped to learn and develop his skills and further the education of other art managers and artists.
